About Maggie
Maggie Maxwell (she/her) is a Denver-based yoga teacher, writer, and longtime practitioner whose work centers on clarity, care, and sustainable practice.

Maggie began her yoga journey in 2006 and completed her 200-hour certification with Zenver Yoga in 2022. Since then, she has completed more than 400 hours of continued education in mindful flow and sequencing, Yin yoga, restorative modalities, Yoga Nidra, somatics, breathwork, and trauma-informed approaches to movement.

Maggie is a certified Yoga for 12-Step Recovery Peer Support Guide, a trained Peer & Family Support Specialist, and a woman in long-term recovery. She teaches in studios, workshops, retreats, and one-on-one sessions, and regularly brings classes into recovery centers, group homes, and sober living environments. Her work is informed by lived experience and shaped by a deep respect for the nervous system, accessibility, and trust.

Maggie's teaching style is clear, grounded, and welcoming. Whether she’s guiding movement, holding space in recovery-focused settings, or supporting people through long-term practice, Maggie focuses on helping students build resilience, deepen body awareness, and develop tools they can carry beyond the mat and into daily life.
